Macphun creative kit macworld6/13/2023 ![]() Works with other RAW, and they're working on it, but not yet.īTW, I need to check out whether Macphun's stuff can handle pixel shifted images. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with DNG (it's possible, but not very effective). Edits you make get synched to other RAW images on other devices, kinda like how Apple Photos does, but without the need for cloud storage, with more types of devices, and with the ability to pass along Lr adjustments without having to pass the whole RAW file. And they are having a 50% off sale right now too.Īnd while I'm mentioning RAW, it's notable that Mylio is the other application that can pass around RAW adjustments, although it's more of an organizer and sharing/synching/DAM application, although it does have editing functions. That might not matter if you like Adobe's RAW processing, or pre-apply lots of Lr adjustments, but I like to be able to use a RAW as a base for adjustment, especially when doing B&W conversions.ĭxO can also do this AND send a RAW back to Lr with DxO adjustments, which is very cool (obviously it's really sending a RAW with parameters for adjustment). But that's only because I already have many of the tools in Aurora, which is why they are selling it separately from the Creative Kit I expect.Īlso, a big big big advantage of Macphun's plugins is that they can operate on RAW, not just TIFFs or PSDs. But out of the box I can't say it's much better than Lr, and not more than Nik. And you have more tools in one interface than with most HDR applications. I've tried Aurora HDR, and it's nice, and primarily for the interface, since with that you can use layers as well. Intensify Reveal the hidden beauty of your photos. Nik's Silver efex has some more intelligence built into their zone-type adjustments, but I just think I like using layers more. Creative Kit elevates your photo editing experience and helps achieve fantastic results faster than ever before. Nor does Lr have that you have to go out to Ps to do stuff like that. The big advantage Macphun has over Nik is layers and layer masking. And at first I thought Macphun's stuff was sort of gimmicky in an iOS-filters kind of way. Baby projectile spit up6/13/2023 ![]() Room decorations like banners or garlands. If you’re not crafty, get someone else to stitch something up for you. Making them into sentimental mementos options like quilts, stuffed toys, or pillows. You might also use receiving blankets for the following: When baby gets a bit older, you want them to be able to stretch out their arms and discover their fingers and surroundings. What’s better for a security item than a blankie they’ve had literally since they were born? Yeah, some babies have such amazing projectile spit-up skills that these actually seem like a reasonable size for burp cloths! Oversized burp cloths for particularly messy eaters. You probably have plenty of spaces for your baby to play at home, but receiving blankets are an easy to carry option for when you’re visiting friends or hitting the park. Whether you’re using the not-so-sanitary changing table in a public restroom or want to protect your friend’s bed from any diaper mess during a play date, they make it easy to establish a clean changing space. As a bonus, they work well for cleaning up any dribbles or spit-up. Their small size makes them easy to pop in the diaper bag for a little privacy when nursing on the go. Keep one in the stroller basket in case you need to add some extra shade or protect your little one from a rain shower. Stroller cover to temporarily block sun or rain. The soft material is gentle on skin and helps retain body heat after a bath. Once you get the steps down, it’s a simple way to calm and cuddle your new arrival. They may even be used in the hospital to snugly wrap wiggly newborns. When your baby is young, receiving blankets are good for the following: So clearly they’re great for that first baby photo op, but before you add them to the registry, you want to be sure they’re useful for more than that. You can use a receiving blanket to swaddle, and it’s as simple as mastering the fold. They aren’t startling themselves with their arms waving in random motion, and they are used to a snug fit before birth. Why all this emphasis on swaddling? A swaddled newborn is calmed and falls asleep. Swaddling blankets are a specialty item designed with one purpose in mind, while receiving blankets are really a multipurpose item. While it’s perfectly acceptable to use each type of blanket for swaddling or just snuggling, some of these features may make one preferable over the other for your intended use. Meanwhile, swaddling blankets are made to stretch to tightly wrap babies of varying size, come in several materials for different temperature conditions, and may have features like velcro or specially designed shapes or flaps to facilitate swaddle wrapping. Receiving blankets are made to withstand heavy use and laundering, work for a variety of temperature conditions, and usually sized a little smaller for wrapping up those fresh-from-the-womb little ones. ![]() ![]() While these types of blankets may be used interchangeably, especially with newborns, each has a specific design that’s suited to its general purpose. What makes a receiving blanket different than a swaddling blanket?

Bugzilla login6/13/2023 Update: On the advice of a Bugzilla developer, I've reported this as a bug ( #1005931) in the Bugzilla bug tracking system (Bugzilla). ![]() Something is making Bugzilla think the user is no longer logged in, and Bugzilla is responding by setting a new value for Bugzilla_login_request_cookie, which triggers the login process again. When one of the Bugzillas suddenly prompts for login again, although I see no change in the cookies being passed to the server in the GET header, the server returns this: Set-Cookie: Bugzilla_login_request_cookie= path=/ secure HttpOnly After login, Bugzilla_login_request_cookie is effectively cleared, and two new cookies are set: Bugzilla_login and Bugzilla_logincookie. Before login, the Bugzilla_login_request_cookie is set with a unique value. As long as the two Bugzillas are working normally (no spurious login prompts), the cookies being passed around make sense. I used LiveHTTPHeaders to watch what happens with the login-related Bugzilla cookies. I tried setting the two cookiedomain values to '/' and '/', but that just resulted in no cookies being created at all. Bugzilla2 is its cookiedomain is '' and cookiepath is '/'.Īlthough normally when making changes to a Bugzilla/mod_perl setup I restart Apache to allow changes to kick in, my understanding is that this is not necessary when only the params files are changed (including changes to cookiedomain and cookiepath) (confirmed). ![]() Bugzilla1 is its cookiedomain is '' and cookiepath is '/'. Red Hat Bugzilla is not an avenue for technical assistance or support, but simply a bug tracking system. Has anyone out there cracked this problem?Īdditional: I'm running Bugzilla 4.4.4. Red Hat Bugzilla is the Red Hat bug-tracking system and is used to submit and review defects that have been found in Red Hat distributions. I believe Bugzilla defaults to sharing cookies, and that's presumably the root of the problem, and I've tried playing with both cookiepath and cookiedomain, with no success. Apparently this is fairly common with certain Bugzilla setups, but note that I do not have that problem with my original shared mod_perl Bugzilla (the one without SSL). Logins for the two Bugzillas interfere with each other, causing repeated login prompts and 'bad password' messages. That means they also have different, unique IP addresses.Īlthough this second setup basically works, I'm running into problems with login and cookies. Now I'm trying to do the same thing on a different server, with the same basic setup, except that the hosts sharing Bugzilla are running SSL as well. ![]() I've managed to set up a shared mod_perl Bugzilla environment using the PROJECT variable, and it works perfectly.

Air video server hd opus6/13/2023 ![]() The Opus format is based on a combination of the full-bandwidth CELT format and the speech-oriented SILK format, both heavily modified: CELT is based on the modified discrete cosine transform (MDCT) that most music codecs use, using CELP techniques in the frequency domain for better prediction, while SILK uses linear predictive coding (LPC) and an optional Long-Term Prediction filter to model speech. Spectrogram of Opus-encoded audio as bitrate rises (~32 to ~160 kbit/s) clearly shows lowpass behavior and better preservation of the band energy with CELT (compare original, Vorbis, MP3, AAC). Unlike Vorbis, Opus does not require large codebooks for each individual file, making it more efficient for short clips of audio and more resilient. In any Opus stream, the bitrate, bandwidth, and delay can be continually varied without introducing any distortion or discontinuity even mixing packets from different streams will cause a smooth change, rather than the distortion common in other codecs. Opus has very short latency (26.5 ms using the default 20 ms frames and default application setting), which makes it suitable for real-time applications such as telephony, Voice over IP and videoconferencing research by Xiph led to the CELT codec, which allows the highest quality while maintaining low delay. An Opus stream can support up to 255 audio channels, and it allows channel coupling between channels in groups of two using mid-side coding. Opus supports constant and variable bitrate encoding from 6 kbit/s to 510 kbit/s (or up to 256 kbit/s per channel for multi-channel tracks), frame sizes from 2.5 ms to 60 ms, and five sampling rates from 8 kHz (with 4 kHz bandwidth) to 48 kHz (with 20 kHz bandwidth, the human hearing range). ![]() ![]() Possible bitrate and latency combinations compared with other audio formats Opus is widely used as the voice over IP (VoIP) codec in applications such as Discord, WhatsApp, and the PlayStation 4. All known software patents that cover Opus are licensed under royalty-free terms. The reference has both fixed-point and floating-point optimizations for low- and high-end devices, with SIMD optimizations on platforms that support them. Īs an open format standardized through RFC 6716, a reference implementation called libopus is available under the New BSD License. Its delay is exceptionally low compared to competing codecs, which require well over 100 ms, yet Opus performs very competitively with these formats in terms of quality per bitrate. Opus has the low algorithmic delay (26.5 ms by default) necessary for use as part of a real-time communication link, networked music performances, and live lip sync by trading-off quality or bitrate, the delay can be reduced down to 5 ms. Bitrate, audio bandwidth, complexity, and algorithm can all be adjusted seamlessly in each frame. Opus combines the speech-oriented LPC-based SILK algorithm and the lower-latency MDCT-based CELT algorithm, switching between or combining them as needed for maximal efficiency. Opus replaces both Vorbis and Speex for new applications, and several blind listening tests have ranked it higher-quality than any other standard audio format at any given bitrate until transparency is reached, including MP3, AAC, and HE-AAC. Opus is a lossy audio coding format developed by the Xiph.Org Foundation and standardized by the Internet Engineering Task Force, designed to efficiently code speech and general audio in a single format, while remaining low-latency enough for real-time interactive communication and low-complexity enough for low-end embedded processors.

Glen shrook arcadiaindiana6/13/2023 ![]() the first six books were written by hand and using a typewriter and the last four were written mostly on computer. “ She Is the Darkness” comes from a song called Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac. “ Water Sleeps” comes from a Turkish proverb and “ Soldiers Live” comes from a poem written by a Vietnam veteran soldier about feeling guilty about how he survived but his friends didn’t. A Pitiless Rain will follow on after Soldiers Live. That last, however, had a litter: Bleak Seasons, She Is The Darkness, Water Sleeps, and Soldiers Live. By then Dreams Of Steel was obvious and Glittering Stone had to be done. That underwent mitosis and became Shadow Games and Silver Spike. By the time I completed White Rose I knew Shadow Games. She insisted I do a trilogy in which the men of the Company would eventually show us that they were not irredeemably wicked. Watch amelie6/13/2023 They didn’t let poor lighting bog them down and managed to make every scene work without the film appearing lit in the artificial sense. It must have been hard, shooting in exterior situations on a low budget. To bring this to life without everything turning tacky is a monumental collective effort by all departments.Ĭinematographer Bruno Delbonnel tried to marry naturalistic location lighting with a sense of charm and romanticism. It’s supposedly set in Paris, but such a world possibly never existed except in the director’s imagination. ![]() Excruciating care was placed in the tiniest of details of Amelie’s life. It’s not for nothing the film received Academy Award nominations for art and cinematography among others. This is not to say the production design didn’t play its part. The main colors in the film – green, yellow and red – were inspired by the paintings of the Brazilian artist Juarez Machado. Most of the credit goes to extensive color grading, which unfortunately led to countless films and commercials being green or blue over the next decade. These colors were not completely achieved in production. You can watch it here:īlue is a color that appears like a breath of fresh air from time to time. ![]() As I’ve explained in my video on how films are shot in two colors – the primary colors of Amélie are red and green. The majorly green hue was risky but paid off. One of the major contributions of Amélie to cinema was in color grading. The exception to this happens with over the shoulder shots. The characters are framed mostly in the center. This discipline is one of the reasons it works. You’d think with a film of such visual flair the director could easily have framed this more traditionally, but he doesn’t. A great example is an early unassuming scene where Amélie speaks to her landlady. Up or down, sideways, dollying in or out – there’s hardly a shot where the camera doesn’t move. The camera technique is not often appreciated in Amelie, but shots like the one with Amélie on the bridge are one of the finest you’ll ever see in cinema. Like Leone, Jeunet films in the spherical format and crops rather than film anamorphic. One of the techniques Jean-Pierre Jeunet uses extensively is the character popping into frame, inspired directly by Sergio Leone. The camera angles and movements are fluid and vibrant. ![]() Let’s face it, it’s the world we all wish we could have, especially in the last two years. With Amélie he goes one eighty to a colorful and cheerful world where only good things can happen – even when events are bad. He did dark with Delicatessen and Alien: Resurrection. Jean-Pierre Jeunet can push the visuals both ways – dark or cheerful. ![]() You feel you are watching a comic book come alive. Just watch Alien: Resurrection.Īmélie was a response to the restrictions Jeunet had to endure in Hollywood. The actors are almost caricatures of the roles they are playing. It is clear visually he loves to create a rich tapestry and mise-en-scene that lets his actors shine in. This distorts the facial features in a way that lends to his type of comedy. He can frame characters in close up in the foreground while showing us the world they live in. Jean-Pierre Jeunet loves super wide angles – wider than most directors. On 28 September 1997, Amélie Poulain finds love.Understanding the Cinematography of Bruno Delbonnel When Amélie finds the album of photos of an intriguing collector that collects rejected photos in the Photomaton of the Gare de l'Est, she seeks him out and falls in love with him.
